You never know what to expect when you order from a new website online. I have had letdowns (not arriving on time, not fitting as it should, etc.) and triumphs. When I needed a dress for Easter, however, I decided on giving eShakti and their super cute dresses with custom sizing a try. I’m in between sizes so I thought this would be the perfect solution to ensure I got a dress that fit as it should. Thankfully, they were running a promotion with free customization, free shipping, and $20.00 off your first order. Where else would I find a dress I truly liked, sized to fit for under $40.00?
I went with the Oxford chambray dress, which is described as peach and looks almost pastel pink on the website. I placed my order along with my measurements on March 22 and on March 31 I received an e-mail stating my order had shipped. Anxiously I looked to track my package to ensure it would arrive in time for Easter and found my dress was in Chennai, India. I instantly began to freak out a little because I really was and am still worried it did not have ample time to get here before Sunday and I really want to wear this thing since I have bought shoes and jewelry to match and I really was banking on it being here. I mean, Easter is the explicit reason I bought this thing.
Many of my initial reservations have been relieved as it has traveled to New Delhi then on to Leipzig, Germany and finally to Cincinnati, Oh. Cincinnati is relatively close to me so I expect to receive my dress Wednesday if not tomorrow or perhaps Thursday if they go about some roundabout route. It should be here in the timeframe promised by the eShakti website. So far I’ve been very happy with the process. There were beautiful dresses to chose from, the price is fair, and the process of inputting measurements and ordering was very simple. I think the turnaround time for a custom garment is more than acceptable as well. I will update when I get the finished product. Can’t wait!
